FAQs

The following information will help you troubleshoot the most common problems with electronic access to journal articles. If you don't find the answers to your questions here, please send an email to support@publichealthreports.org.

What volumes are available online?

Electronic access to the current volume is available with a valid online subscription or other qualifying subscription. Issues from previous volumes are made available free of charge on PubMed Central and PHR Archives one year after the original publish date.

The PHR Archives section of this web site includes volumes from 2001 to current. Additional volumes and issue numbers (1878-2005) can be found on PubMed Central.

How do I access restricted articles?

Depending on your subscription type, the way you are given access to restricted articles will vary. Institutional end-users access restricted articles via IP authentication; individual subscribers require user login accounts. You must first register your IP address or range, or provide a valid email address to enable a login account.

Institutional Subscribers

Institutional end-users are automatically logged in and given instant access to restricted articles so long as the computer (or proxy server) they are connecting from has an IP address within the institution's registered range.

To update your IP address or range, please email your updates to support@publichealthreports.org, including your subscription number, your institution name and a reply email address.

If you are unable to access subscriber-only articles, please click here to submit an IP access failure report. To determine the IP address currently used by your computer, click here.

Individual Subscribers

To enable a user login account, please click here to submit a request for password form, or send an email to support@publichealthreports.org with your subscriber number, first and last name and email address.

If you have previously used a log on account and have forgotten your password, click here to submit a password reminder request.
